About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all company invoices and managing supplier accounts. This position is crucial for maintaining healthy financial operations and strong vendor relationships.

Responsibility

  • Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Track and manage all company expenses, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records and vendor files.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Qualification

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
