Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Monitor security systems and logs for suspicious activities, unauthorized access attempts, and other security incidents.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry best practices.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM solutions.
- Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity within the organization.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure integration of new systems and applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, configurations, and procedures.
Qualification
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with various security tools, including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms.
- Solid knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and digital forensics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
