About this role
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to oversee and maintain our critical server infrastructure and internal systems. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our technology environment, directly supporting our operational efficiency and business continuity.
Responsibility
- Maintain and optimize server uptime and performance for all critical systems.
- Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.
- Ensure network security and integrity, including firewall configuration and intrusion detection.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with IT team members to support various internal projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed.
Qualification
- Proven experience with both Linux and Windows server environments (installation, configuration, maintenance).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP), and basic routing/switching.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and best practices.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, MCSA, RHCSA) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
